IKZM-Oder

The goal of this project was to demonstrate in the German-Polish territories around the Oder river estuary how regional Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) can be implemented practically and sustainably. Through the promotion of dialogue between all stakeholders, and the synthesis of already existing methods a common vision and strategy for regional ICZM can be developed that will contribute to the development of national ICZM strategies.

Tasks of the EUCC-D: Construction of an information portal for students and teachers, creation of information and learning material on coastal-specific topics, assistance and guidance of school classes, public relations.

Duration: May 2004 through April 2010.
