EU Ministers have reached agreement on fishing opportunities for 2015 in the Atlantic, North Sea and Black Sea following lengthy discussion at the Agriculture and Fisheries Council on the 15th and 16th December.
From 1st January 2015 onwards fishermen in certain parts of the EU must land the fish they catch. To give full legal clarity for all fishermen affected by this landing obligation, the European Commission has issued guidance.
